Loyalist Memorial

Stop at the Loyalist Memorial, a sculpture created by Canadian Jacobine Jones
and unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in July of 1959. It stands
in recognition of the contributions made by the early settlers of Upper Canada.

Wander through this memorial which contains tomb stones of well known local
residents that were rescued from eight cemeteries along the river front.
These residents were recognized for their pioneering spirit and outstanding
contribution to community life.
